Weekly Round-Up 41

Welcome to Weekly Round-Up No. 41! This week we feature the new single by Radio Days. And we review debut releases by Peppermint B, Sølv and Bleach Girls. Enjoy the music!

Peppermint B – Because We’re Together

First up this week is the debut single by the mysterious Peppermint B. We only know he is from Denmark, and that he’s not a stranger to the music scene. And you can clearly hear this! The song is well written, produced and has an amazing full sound, somewhere between orchestral pop and classic indie, with a light touch of folk. And incredibly infectious!

Radio Days – Higher

The new single “Higher” by Dutch band Radio Days is uplifting electropop along the lines of Passion Pit en Ra Ra Riot: irresistible, catchy, and puts you in a good mood instantly. The band has been releasing excellent EP’s over the last couple of years, every single one with songs that sound like hitsingles, for example “Come Along“. Time for the big breakthrough, and “Higher” is going to pave the way.

Bleach Girls – Like You

That energetic sound of surf, punk and power pop combined…. We love it! And that’s precisely what Bleach Girls deliver on their debut track “Like You”. The band sounds like a grunge version of 60s surf bands, keeping harmonious vocals, sharp hooks, sing-a-long melodies, and adding heavy guitar riffs, and a subtle teen angst vibe. Completely addictive! We like you too, Bleach Girls!!

Sølv – Losing My Mind

“Losing My Mind” is the beautiful soulful debut single by 20-year old singer-songwriter and producer Sølv. Unlike her artist name suggests, Sølv is not from Sweden, but from the UK. The song is about the entrancement of being in love, and the song sounds exactly like that: hypnotising, seductive and a little obsessive. All the ingredients for a perfect electronic R&B track! And this one is going to be huge.
